Anyone have the wiring diagram for a Kenwood KDC-1018 (thats what its got on the unit) I used to have it in a old car I had, but after I took it out and tried to put it in my new car, i cant get it to work, and I have lost the manual. The problem seems to be a blue and white wire, I know that the yellow is permanent active, the black ground, and the red switched active, but the unit wont activate unless I ground this blue and white wire. Also when it does activate for some reason the unit wont switch off properly with the ignition and for some reason the unit will turn its display off and stop playing/receiving radio, but it will still be on. I think i may have actually damaged it when I removed it from the previous vehicle. (About the unit, the only info ive found about this is thats its allegedly an KDC-116s, looks like one though.)

The Blue/White wire in a Kenwood receiver should be the remote power for a power antenna, etc.  If you are not using switched remote equipment, this wire should be insulated and not connected to any thing.  It should certainly NOT be grounded.

Yellow = contant power; red = switched power; black = ground.  If it does not work with these three wires connected properly, the deck is defective.

Ensure that the black wire is actually going to ground.
