Does anyone know how to take out the stock headunit? Is it all clips or does it have screws?

Hondas have screws holding the HU in and they are sometimes hard to see.  On this year I believe there are three or four hidden screws on the trim bezel and then four screws holding the HU in place that can be seen from the front.

I have a similar problem with my 2001 honda civic lx. posted_image I found the screws that hold it in from the bottom of the head unit, but I cannot get the head unit to come out of the dash.  Does it have any other screws that I cannot find or is it just clipped into the dash and hard to remove.  I just do not want to tear the dash up trying to get it out.  Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

Thanks, man.  I'll try it out.  I was trying to remove just the radio, I didn't know the whole dash had to be removed. But anyway, thanks a lot!

Its not to hard to remove.First the a/c vents have to be removed, the dash piece as well > I just pulled it with a hook inside the vent.Behind it you will find the 3 top screws. You will also need to remove the shifter trim, ashtray,+stroage bin. Then dierctly above the strorage bin is 2 screws .After that gently pull.

Good luck, let me know if you need more detail
