i put a factory kia am/fm.cass/cd stereo in my 78 ford pickup. and i dont have much volume on it [hardly hear it ].does anyone no what size amp is in the 2001 kia optima ?and  can anyone tell me a reasonable size amp to install to get volume? i have some decent 8 inch box speakers attached, and i no they,re loud. i tried a 40 watt amp and it didnt seem to do much

While I have no idea how many watts that particular OEM radio puts out, in general factory stereo equipment is rated between 4 and 12 watts RMS.  Without getting into why you would put an OEM radio (especially out of a Kia) into another vehicle, if you list the brands and models of the speakers you are trying to power I'm sure we can recomend an amp to help you out.
