hi, i have an mtx thunder8000 subwoofer running from a pyramid amp that has 1000 max watt, it ran pretty good i think. but now all of a sudden the sub doesn't work anymore. i know there is a feed coming from the amp. i can get power from the amp. but my sub just doesn't work. i don't hear anything out of it. could my amp might just be sending out 2 ohms instead of the usual 4? if so, would my sub still at least work a little bit? please help me.

p.s. yes, i know i know, i made a mistake my getting the pyramid amp. but still , can somebody stil helpme? thank you
"could my amp might just be sending out 2 ohms instead of the usual 4" no. amps don't "send out" ohms. ohms are the impedence of the subwoofer. that doesn't change. you can use a 9 volt battery and hook it up to the terminals of the woofer, the woofer should move up or down and stay that way til you take off the battery.
check the amp it may be broke even getting power does not mean the amp is working. double check all connections the rca, power, etc and if you have another pair of speakers try them and see if your amp is actually working. lastly get a new amp anyways pyramid plain and simpe is a piece of sh*t. i'd rather have no bass then buy one of those amps. there are other cheap amps that are actually really good PYRAMID IS NOT ONE OF THEM .
