I have a 2001 chevy silverado with rear window defrost. I don't really use it too often and would like to use it as my radio antenna instead. Can this be done? How complex would it be?

Please reply!!!! Thanks.

PS. I rarely use the am band, just fm really.

no. antennas are tuned to specific frequency bands for ideal performance, based on their length, impedence, etc.
However, you can buy a similar antenna that sticks along the edge of the top of your windshield so it's "invisible" (thin wires inside clear tape) that will work fairly well.. though not as well as a good outside steel antenna.
