Just wondering where I can find wire cutter/strippers that can handle 1/0 guage wires.  Or, if they don't make them, what do people use to cut/strip 1/0 guage wire?

Get one of those extendable razors...open it up and cut down into the cover to the wire and go around. Then cut a line up and peel off..worked for me..

I use the same method as Maxst. They do have cable strippers out there that do large cable. You can find them at welding supply shops and probably industrial electrical supply shops

box cutters are alot easier to handle than just the blade and they only cost like $2 at the grocery store.

I'm with the other guys just use my razor blade to go around the wire and it pulls right off..Then I use the bench vise to crimp the connectors on..

Razor blade, box cutter, utility knife...all work. But if you do it enough...the cutters kephart showed us work wonders...

I use a razor on anything bigger then 8 gauge. I don't know how many newbie installer's busted my crimpers trying to strip, cut, or crimp any wire 4 gauge or bigger.

Here is no doubt the best solution to your problem, head down to the local peeler bar, have a beer or two, and suck the stripper into doing it for you as part of her job description, who knows maybe you can sell her a stereo.

Just use a razor blade/ box cutters and some plyers will work much better then pulling it off with yout teeth.
