no ground wire?

i just looked at the wiring diagram and it says there is no ground wire in my car for the radio.so does this mean idont need to hook up the ground wire coming out of the new radio?also it says there is an illumination wire ,where does this hook up to,if anybody could let me know it would be coo

the gound is the stereo mounting brackets, they should be metal. the illumination wire hooks up to the illumination wire on the new head unit if there is one if not just cap off the illum. wire.

Put a ring terminal on the end of the ground and screw it into bare metal.

if its a nissan or toyota, most of these cars dont have a ground in the harness, just crimp a spade terminal on them and stick it in the mounting brackets where you put screws in to hold the brackets for the new head unit.  that is a good ground, i do it all the time.
