I have to agree with pureRF, The Brahma is a nice sub and dose hit loud and clean. But if you’re ready to take it to the top, I would go with the Eclipse Titanium. It will defiantly give you everything you described above, but it is more $ then the Brahma.

You should be able to get a15 Titanium for $600. Eclipse is very strict so be sure and buy from an authorized dealer.

Take a look at www.eclipse-web.com and there lies the info. I would choose two 12" subs over one 15" sub. I would choose the aluminum subs and not the titanium. Two 12" drivers combined have more surface area than 1 15" driver, read more air movement (with similar drivers). The power handling capacity of any two aluminums is 1000w rms, two titaniums is 1500w rms. I would choose two subs as it tends to smooth out the bass response, you don't have to work the subs as hard to make bass as you do one 15" sub (generally speaking). I have done numerous systems over the years with these subs and use two 10" myself. If you power them properly, build the RIGHT box, mount the box PROPERLYand use the subs as they are designed to be used, look out, you have moderate to high spl for most people, but you also have sound quality to boot. Expect a very smooth response thanks to the sealed box (1.12 cu ft. sealed gross internal), expect multi tone bass response, not the one note wonder, expect authority for bass response if needed. These subs also just really happen to like a Audio Contol Epicenter. We are doing a single 12" with an epicenter right now in a old VW Jetta. The aluminum drivers are a great choice for you, they don't absolutely cripple your wallet, the technology in these subs is #1 and I have never ever had a dissapointed customer. The aluminum drivers are available as a single 4ohm or dual 4ohm. If your amp is only stable to 4 ohm, buy yourself a pair of dual 4 ohm drivers and hook them up in series parallel. The Subs you have are great, they are probably just not quite up to the task that you ask of them. Exactly what kind of problems were you having?

Word of advice, buy from your local specialty shop who is an authorized dealer and has an interest in you as a customer. This takes care of buying "B" stock manufacturers equipment passed off as "A" stock by e-tailers and all the associated warranty problems that you are having. Yes you live on an Island and so do I (Vancouver Island, BC). If I have a customers warranty claim as an authorized dealer, the manufacturer is under no obligation to cover shipping and handling, however, as a specialty dealer I will pay the shipping and handling one way for my customers if a claim does arise. A heavy 12" sub through the mail, insured is about $20.00 cdn, sounds like a rip job on the shipping.

I know things are a little more expensive over there, but you should be able to do better then 400 for aluminum. I paid that much for my Titanium’s, I would suggest that when you’re ready to buy you go in there and negotiate with them.

Here in Southern California, I can get the Aluminums from authorized dealers for as low as $225.00. If I were in your shoes I would not pay more than $300. As far as the digital design I have never owned any of their woofers but I have heard them (I believe they were the 9500). They are good woofers and are used mostly in spl setups. However I would stick with the Aluminums they will give you much better sound quality, and in my opinion out more bass. Trust me you will not find a woofer that will give you the sq and spl that the Aluminum's will.
