Ok..nearing assembly time...

question is...how far apart do you all space the screws on your boxes?

Also, would it do any good to put polyfill in?

i usually space the screws about 1.5" apart to keep bending to a minimum.

Between 1" and 1.5" should be fine. Make sure you Pre-Drill the holes to prevent splitting. Countersinking the holes may make for a neater covering job as well.

Polyfill is mainly used to make an enclosure that was built too small sound larger. I believe the general rule of thumb with it is 1 pound per cubic ft. I'd listen to the enclosure first, then experiment with different amounts of polyfill until you get the sound that you want.

If you're building a ported enclosure I wouldn't recommend it though. The polyfill can be blown out of the ports!

Also, would it be wise to make the baffle double boarded...to sections cut out and glued together?

I have a kenwood amp..with a lpf in it..would it be better if i got a crossover to control the freq in more?

And which one that is good for my budjet install? I also want to add another amp for some speakers...maybe components so a low and mid/high would be kool...
