I have a 1999 Land Cruiser with factory indash single CD stereo. I want to upgrade to the 6-indash Cd available in for 2000 an up Land Cruiser.

My 99 LC stereo has the 15 pin plug radio harness and the 2000 and up model has 20 pin plug stereo harness. Is there an adaptor to convert the 15 pin to work with the 20 pin head unit of the 2000 and up LC?

The Landcruiser did not change until 2001, so a 2000 to 1999 should just plug in. Now the 20 pin harness radio you have is a the new style that started in 2001, so unfortunately there is nothing you can do with that setup as they are different systems that cannot interchange.

Metra Tech, thanks for your reply but the only changes in terms of radio with 99 vs 00 stereo LC was the 6 indash cd for 00 vrs. single in dash cd for 99. I have taken both models years apart and found the 00 has 20 pin plug for stereo while the 99 has 15 pin plug.
