Its been a few years since I did a system in a BMW, Do they still have the factory amp located in the left rear 1/4. If im installing a amp to drive the interior speakers, can i grab the speaker leads off the factory harness behind the radio, or is there a amp in the trunk that i have to bypass and throw caps on the tweeter leads like the older bmw's?. Do I need a dash kit for an aftermarket radio, or is it a standard Din opening? obvioulsy i could tell by looking, but this is for a friend of mine, so i havent seen the car yet!

Thanks

This should be the same as my vehicle which is a 2000 328ci. The amp is in the left rear 1/4 and you'll have to grab the speaker leads there and bypass the amp. You wil need a dask kit for and after market radio, this is very easy to install. Have Fun.
