I have a 99 tahoe with a 140 amp alternator. I have one yellow top battery and a stinger 1 farad cap running 2 soundstream amps. My lights still dim and my voltage still drops. I suggest you purchase a new alternator to handle the power, I will soon. You can have all the battery in the world but if your alt. can't keep up with them it is worthless. It is like filling up a huge pool with a garden hose, then try filling two pools with the same garden hose. It is a mistake even I have made before too. A cap won't help much either because you still are lacking power from the alternator to fill it efficiently. I think you have the large case A.C. Delco alternator. Any good alt. shop should be able to pull 180 to 200 amps out of that with a high output rebuild. Where I go it is about 250 bucks for the rebuild. Good luck
