I was looking at 2 Dual 12 Sub sealed boxes and it said for one of the boxes that it had 1.25 cubic feet per chamber and the other box had 1.75 cubic feet per chamber. Are these the sizes that come into play when a company says that the reccommended enclosure size is 1.75 or 1.25.

yes, and for a sealed box generally, within spec, the larger the box the more SPL you'll get from it.

y dont you make your own box to fit perfectly in your car? that way you can get maximum cubic feet and a hell of alot more SPL. also, y are you going with a sealed box and not a ported? ported usually gives about 2 to 8 more db's
