Hey, I just installed a Sony Xplod head unit in my friend's 91 Eclipse. (He bought it used, so he can't take it back really) First I installed it without connecting the Illumination wire to anything. He called me that night and whined at me because his dash lights weren't working. I put the Ill wire with the 12V Constant (Yellow) by accident (Got my colors mixed up). He calls me and says that his parking and dash lights are staying on all the time now. So I went over and put the Ill wire with the 12V Switched (Red). He just called me a few minutes ago and said he thought his battery was dead, and to come pick him up. Then he called a minute later and said that it started working again, and I didn't need to pick him up. What did I do wrong that this thing is screwing up everything? Please help.

The Eclipse has 2 ILL wires ( ones + and one - ). Did you have the deck with the single wiring plug or the ones with the dual plugs ? I can send you a wiring diagram for harness if you want to verify your wiring.
