I have (2) 12" subs in a dual chambered single box in a 92 isuzu single cab truck powered by a 2 channel MBAcoustics 600w 2/1 bridgable amp.....it works as is but i was wondering if the sound quality could be deepened by filling the chambers with this Dacron stuff and if so how much do you use? The amp is not bridged and the box dimensions are (approx.) 3 1/2" wide at top 9" wide at bottom 16" tall and maybe 3 feet or so long. I will post actual dimendions if needed Thanks in advance.

The Dacron filler is used to shrink volume size by 20 % so watch out how much you put into it as this will alter your frequency of the box and also make it sound worse if you place too much in it. Dacron only minimizes sound reflections inside the box and will help sound quality, but not much. ------------- Jeff

generally, you use loose polyfill (not the sheets of it) and loosely fill the box half way. ya don't "stuff" it in..

I never said you did. You implied this meaning yourself, sir. Re-read mine. I was pointing out that you don't stuff the box full. you put it in loosely, half-volume.
you're welcome

honestly I was just stating it to be sure. I never assume someone knows something I know. :P I mean, look at the thread topic.. I just figured better safe than sorry.. Lemme know how it turns out, eh?
the trick to the loose filling is ya buy the bag of pillow stuffing and pull it out in handfulls, then pull it apart so it's all web-like and fluffy.. then just toss it in. that's pretty much the way I've always done it. Works well, only takes a couple minutes. Seen egg-crate stapled into a box as a liner too.. has a similar effect.
