Hi there,

I just bought myself two 12" Infinity Reference dual voice coil 1200W subs.  They run 300W RMS, 1200W peak.  I know that with dual voice coils, I can get more wiring scheme flexibility.  I was wondering if anybody could point me towards an amp, preferably Rockford Fosgate, for under 200 bucks that would power this baby.  I don't mind buying from ebay, =P.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.  If you could tell me what kind of wiring scheme to use, and then give me a model and type of an amp, I would be indebted.  Thank you for your time everybody.

Hi there,

I have two 12" Infinity Reference 1200W subwoofers, dual voice coil, each coil with 4ohm impedence, 300W RMS 1200W peak per speaker.  I want to put these into a ported box, I believe Infinity recommends at least 2.0 cubic feet of airspace for each one of these puppies.  Anybody have some experience with this that can recommend me a length, diameter and tuning of port?  I was thinking around 31hz... if anybody has an opinion they'd like to share I would love to hear it.

I drive a '94 Olds Cutlass Supreme.  It's got a fairly large trunk, so I don't think I'll have to really worry too much about space issues.  I would like to build a box from 1" HDF(high density fiberboard), and make it so I can pull it out of the trunk in case I need extra space.  If anybody can shed some extra light on my situation, I would greatly appreciate it.  Thanks!

Ikesound.com has RF amps. These are a few I saw that would work.
Power 451S (225 Watts RMS x2 @ 2 ohms for $145)
551S (275 watts RMS x2 @ 2 ohms for $189)
