I need the color codes for the wires for 4 prong plug and the 8 prong plug because the previous owner cut the plugs off instead of simply unhooking them. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in Advance.

I have an 89 stang also, if it has the premium sound system in it follow the wires back a little bit and there is another plug that is how I had to install my radio.

By the sounds of the wiring it did have a premium system, as fordfan pointed out, follow the wires back and you will find the hidden amp that needs to be bypassed. SOME of those factory amp modules use a scosche FD02 harness (or similar brand) to plug your new wires into the output wires.
