just a thought , i figure i coud find 10" or 12" etc. diameter pvc as a basis for a tube , using end caps on one end and fabricating a pvc flange {ring} , on the inside edge say 5/8" on the other end to mount the woofer to would this be a practical alternative to a store bought tube for anyone?  if you could use the idea your more than welcome ,you could tailor the length per your specs. (tuning}  enjoy!

you could theoritically, but the glue on the pvc would not hold too well, and the cost of schedual 40 PVC at 10" if you can find it would be outta this world to a normal person. Junst know that you also have to buy  in atleast 10ft pieces and that would probally be a special order even for a plumbing speciality store.

There’s nothing wrong with the PVC, other then the fact it may be expensive. I would suggest that you use the SCH 80 ( if you can find it) it will give you a larger area to screw your sub into. I have also seen people use Sauna Tubes which are used for concrete forms https://www.quikrete.com/catalog/Quik-Tube.html They are called many things but if you go to a construction yard and explain to them what you are looking for they should  have them.
