When putting braces along the edges of the inside of my box should i screw them in or just use a lot of good wood glue and make sure they are sanded with about 60 to get a better grip? the glue sounds fine to me. Let me know thanks

I usually glue / nail sometimes screw (depending on the sub) my braces into place, I have seen braces come apart when not held with anything more than glue. Your box gets real hot in the summer and real cold in the winter, some glues tend to come apart under these conditions.

glue and screw. subs create a lot of stress, and no matter how thick, all the wood will flex a bit causing glue to weaken over time.

Yep, it's better to go with a "belt-and-suspenders" approach here.  The glue is what gives you the most sealing and strength, BUT it will weaken over time.  Screws, when used alone, do a poor job of sealing the box, but they'll stay put unless the pressure inside the box blows one of the panels apart..

MDF is made with glue.  Glue alone with hold the braces in forever if the box is built correctly.  If you are getting enough flex to weaken the joint and break the glue then their are not enough internal braces.  Amount of glue;  only enough to make contact, to much and you are just making plastic.  You have to screw it on or nail it though but that is only to hold it into place until the glue sets.  If you talk to someone at a prefab company they will tell you the same thing.  Most of them only use brads to hold it together.  If you have enough pressure to "Blow the Box apart" do you really think screws are going to do sh*t.  Well anyhow hands on experience and common sense cannot be matched.  Have fun.
