Hey all. I need a little help in figuring out how to hook my speakers properly.

I have 2 - 4ohm 2 way Planet Audios, 2 -5.25"4ohm 2 way Planet Audios, and 4 Kicker R190 tweeters that I want to hook up to 1 - kicker 300.4 amp. The amp has a seperate hi/lo pass crossover for the front and for the rear built in. I also soldered the supplied caps inline for the tweeters. Should I wire the tweeters parallel with each Planet Audio? Or maybe all four tweets on the front left and right channels of the amp,and all 4 Planet Audios on the rear left and right channels of the amp? My concern with the latter method is that maybe CD's are going to soon be made with front and rear channels or 5.1 dvd's and I would have a retarded setup.

My system is only for pounding listening pleasure, not SPL, so I just want it to sound loud and clear. I am using a 1200.1 for my subs and it is awesome! It's 1 ohm stable but I have a 1.33 load. The Kicker birth certificate says it was tested and certified to put out 1500 watts at 1 ohm. Anyway, I chose the amps for power of the 1200.1 and the look of the matching covers.

Any Ideas or recommendations would be helpful. I will be staying with the KX series amps if anyone is going to recommend that I use a different amp or amps. I don't have a money tree or rich family but I would like to do this right.

Thanks in advance for any help.

OE

Sounds like you are going to have a tweeter wagon, that's a lot of top end you have there. If I read your post correct you have a totoal of 4 Planet Audio speakers, 2-2way 5.25" and 2 ? size. + 4 Kicker tweeters (with caps for crossovers). What are the 2-4ohm Planet Audio's ? are they subs?

The four 2-way planet audio speakers are mids with capped tweets built in.

They sound really awesome just running off of my head but I want to amp them up so they will have clean power. I only hooked them up to the head to hear them. I never planned on using the head to power them.

V5220 and V4220 are the model numbers and here is the link to website:

I have a tremendous amount of bass and my car is about 90% dynamat extremed and the trunk is ported into the pass compartment. I just want more than enough when I would like to blow someones eardrums. I am using 3 rockford fosgate RFP3810 's and they are waaaay more than enough. I am running them parallel 1.33 ohms. The amp doesn't even get warm.

Do you have any recommendatios for hooking them up? If there is a problem with wiring them all to the KX300.4 then what about running the tweets off the head? It has built in crossovers and I used the supplied inline caps.

Best, OE

it is best to run each tweeter parallel with a midbass. this is how it is always done.
