i've got a new install in an old car (1989 honda accord)...i've got a "tight" plan, but i just read something on some post that leads me to believe that it might be flawwed...........H E L P !

my plan is to run my (main) power cable down the left side to a dist. block under the drivers seat....it will feed branches to (2) amps under the passenger seat & to (1) amp in the trunk...

i am splitting my power & audio feeds (RCAs)....power=left, RCA=right ...to avoid any noise & interference. This set-up was chosen because under the drivers seat is the CAR's CPU & there is not room for both amps!...

now, i just read someone's suggestion to not mount power cables anywhere near a car's CPU......because it could "fry" the CPU........I S    T H I S    F O R    R E A L ? ? ? ?

any thoughts / ideas / suggestions would be greatly appreciated.........THANKS!

You will need to cross the power cable some time could it be done under the hood or dash.

It is important to run cable separate but I don't think the power cable should hurt the car CPU.

Things that would hurt it speaker magnets static electricity and power surges.

it shouldn't fry it.....you might get the annoying check engine light, or some other dummy light coming on on the dash, but that should be aobut it....if that's what your'e getting, than reroute the power wire....
