If i ran 2 2ohm DVC subs at a .5 ohm load to a amp that is 1 ohm stable would that do anything to my amp? Sorry if it seems like a stupid question.

Well, if the amp is only 1-ohm stable when bridged, and you present it with a 1/2-ohm load, the likely results could be overheating, blowing the fuse(s), or clipping.  Depending on what the actual impedance is with the subs in their enclosures, and how much of an engineering "fudge factor" is built into the amp's ratings, you might not have any problems at all.  It's hard to say without trying it, but it's certainly not recommended.

The JBL1200 is stable to 1 Ohm, but it doesn't put out any more power than it does at 2 Ohms (This is straight from the owner's manual).  With this in mind, I'd series/parallel your two subs for an overall 2-ohm load and call it a day.  With this particular amp, trying to run it at 1/2-ohm or even at 1 Ohm isn't going to give you any benefits.

orions old hcca amps could go down to 1/4 ohm and they were extremely powerfull  you could check e-bay if you dont mind changing amps..
