i am finishing up a problematic system in a 2000  F150-  everything is solved except for one issue?

problem:   the factory amp is blown, therefore bypassed.  (the preamp signal is being spliced with RCAs and run  to the amp)  the amp powers the entire system.  so- the CD unit reads an error message- and the CD changer will not power up!

whats my problem?  how do i solve it?

thanks

if the factory amp is bypassed then the preamp signal must go from the cd player direct to the new amp (if you have one) .the CD changer cn be powered up by the had unit (and it must be ) . you must have a direct + voltage and another + voltage from the poweron button ( antenna or amprem or something like that )
