I just purchased a 95 civic, and I am in need of some good speaker, when I say good I dont mean "SQ SYSTEM! Only $4,000" I want 4 GOOD speakers, I dont need great ones but i dont want crappy ones. The one catch, I have over $100 in best buy gift cards (christmas.) I would like to use these for the speakers if it would work. I need a pair of 6 1/2's and a pair of 5 1/4's I know best buy carries rockford products and Im thinking that is the best way to go, but the pioneers are at least $30 cheaper. If anyone can shed some light here, it would be great, also I like all styles of music and already own 2 10's so the low end isnt the biggest thing for these speakers, I want piercing highs and nice mids. These are being run of my 50x4 pioneer but i plan to purchase a amp in the near future. thanks

if you are looking to buy something from best buy, i would recomend the rockford's..the sound quality and power handling is much better then most pioneer products, you said you need 6 1/2's and 5 1/4 i know the 5 1/4 are the doors in the 95 are there 6 1/2 in the rear i have a 98 civic and it has 6x9's i could have sworn the 95s did as well

I second that recommendation. I bought some pioneers and some fosgates together. the pioneers tweeters are way too bright. No matter how much you mess with the treble, its ear shattering. Definately Fosgates, They have a nice, rich sound and not too "bright" with the highs.
