I have a mercury sable 1988 but I don't know which wire is the amp turn on wire for the factory amp to turn on.. how can I test..?
Any help appreciated... thanks...

It looks like the switched 12v+ is going to be the Yellow/Black wire. Did you locate the factory amp in the car? Probe the wires with the stereo on and off to find the 12v with ign on. Good luck!

Nope did not work.. followed the amp wire all the way from the stereo to the a pillar and down the passenger door to the middle of the car but just gave up looking for the amp and just did a rewire in the a pillar where the out to speaker wires were and did a rewire... a biach ass car to do....Thanks anyways ninsane18...
