I've been given a Alpine 6 CD changer for christmas which I want to connect to my already installed Alpine TDM-7548R head unit. Unforunately nobody seems to supply the changer cable to link the two together (DIN-rectangular 10pin). I have a cable with the CD changer for a Rover which I could modify to link to the head unit as it has the 10 pin rectangular connector. The head unit uses the Alpine DIN style connector. Does anybody have wiring colours/diagram for the DIN connector and/or the CD changer (serial no XQE105560D)?

Any help much appreciated.

cheers

Ed

The changer if new should have come with a cable (all new Alpines do) Make sure the changer is also an M-series changer, otherwise there will be language and hook up issues.

the cable that I received with the changer is a 10 pin rectangular plug. Can this communicate with the head?
