Kicker Amp

hey ijust got a kicker amp xI404 what should i do with that one i have 2 kaicker comps 400 wts 8 ohms what should i do

Bberman may agree with this, but hear...pun inteded... goes. Parallel wire the two subs together to create a 4 ohm load, see the parallel calculator on this site if you are unsure how to do so. Bridge the amp into mono on one half of the amp, say channels 3 & 4. This will give you 120 watts rms @ 4 ohm.  Use the other half of the amp to power the front speakers.

Now this is not the best choice of an amp to power your subs, in fact you are drastically underpowering them, one of the worst things to do. If you want more bass, then get yourself a big 2 channel amplifier to do the job. If you choose to use this amp, great let's make it work as best it can and let you understand it's limitations.

The amp has a limit that clean power can be produced to, anything over this limit is called clipping (read distortion - a speaker killer). If you feed this clipping into your sub because you want it to be louder, the end result will be blown subs. Do not turn the gain on the amp up high, this is how you can clip an amp, do not crank the bass on the deck, this is also how you can cause an amp to clip.
