I am trying to install a CD Changer for a friend in his 1997 Volvo 850 w/out factory CD indash.

He has an Alpine 6-disc changer(not posotive on model #)...and it was installed in his previous 850 which was in an accident.

What do I need to install this changer, some kind of soundgate adaptor???  Is there a prewired harness in the car for a CD changer?

I am very new at this car audio stuff so please help me out with any info I need to install it.

Peripheral VOLIL

OEM CD Changer Adapter
1996-2000 Volvo
Alpine 6-disc CD Changer

Make sure you haveyour Alpine changer cable. Good luck

The VOLIL adapter plugs into the back of the factory radio and connects to the Alpine CD changer cable. You must connect the yellow wire to a constant 12-volt power source.
