just a quick question...is it ok to run the speaker wire along side rca's? or should i run them as far apart as possible like with the power wire to the amps?

It's perfectly alright.  RCA cables are shielded so they will not interfere with your speaker wires.  Just make sure that you have power cables on one side of your car, and RCAs and speaker wire on the other side.
