Audio Control dude, have a look at the DQX or EQS, or a new Eclipse head unit will do quite nice as well.

Well I have the Sony XDP-4000X which has high, mid, low, and sub outputs.  It is by far one of the most precise units you can buy.  It has it's strengths and weaknesses.  If you would like more info, I can provide it.  But it really isn't for everyone.

So what exactly do you want?  Do you want EQ, and if so what kind (parametric, graphic) and how precise?  Do you want adjustable crossovers?  Do you want time alignment?  Do you want this stuff analog or digital?

I think you should look at what Audio Control has to offer as well.

Audio Control is great.  I also like using Zapco processing equipment (when budgets will support it!)

any models or links to audio-control equipment?

I think I know one that would work for you.  Here's a link to an inexpensive place to buy, and some info about it:

https://www.8thstreet.com/product.asp?ProductCode=6788&Category=Audio_Processors

https://www.behringer.com/02_products/prodindex.cfm?id=DEQ2496&lang=eng

Download the manual for it in the latter link to see everything it will do.  This includes a 1/3 octave graphic EQ, 10 band parametric EQ, 61 band RTA, time alignment for each output, level control of each output, digital inputs, SPL meter (limited), and 64 user memories.  The only thing it doesn't have that would have ben nice is a built in crossover for each channel.  But hey, for $300 it is more than worth it just for the RTA IMO.

Also, it runs off of 110 volts AC, so you will have to convert it to 12 Volts DC.

Take a look at Alpine's processors, the PHA-X700 and the top of the line PHA-X900.  Those are LOTS of fun.  At a much lower price point and if you want knobs to tweak, Audio Control 4.1 is a nice EQ.

Audio Control is found at www.audiocontrol.com, thay are rumoured to have a 6 channel digital processor coming out, model# DQS. This is probably going to be one of the best processors on the market.
