Thought perhaps this would be helpful to those who are picking up those Ford Focus, Cougar head units on eBay and such, I searched the internet everywhere, finding only color code diagrams of the Focus audio wiring.

I was trying to get a Focus head unit installed in a Ford ranger because I had a OEM Blaupunkt CDC adapter that only fit the Focus CDC port which in turn would allow me to hook up a MDP-01 Blaupunkt MP3 player.... Short answer is that I found it won't work, Blaupunkt's tech support claimed that it might (Ford head unit, Blaupunkt CDC adapter, Blaupunkt MP3 player), connectors all fit but the technical aspect didn't allow it
FYI - While the standard older Ford connectors physically fit, the standard pinouts that Ford has used for years are not the same that the newer (2000+) Focus and Cougar head units use. I can confirm that the pinouts from the above link are correct at least for the power and speakers (there are other pin functions but I didn't verify them)
I believe the Premium Focus Blaupunkt MP3 head unit has the following pinouts (uses ISO plugs)
