Fellow installers, Anyone have any recommendations on any software out there that would give me color codes, speaker sizes, amp locations etc? 12v.com has been a godsend as far as it goes but i need more detail. Thanks in advance

never heard of it. i know an installer that started a book, but never finished it.

Well, for remote starts/alarms we use an out of date (by a year or 2) Designtech CD called "Wirecolors" Its.... kinda accurate, nice tool to have when searching for domelight triggers and bypass wires, but there have been a few that were totally wrong on.... I would like to get ahold of bulldogsecurity's web folder that contains their diagrams and make a program out of it... but thats just me... I would rather get pointed toward the right wire, test it and connect it rather than trial and error with a test light /DMM

BTW, these programs do exsist, i know AllData to be very accurate in mapping wiring diagrams and component locations, Mitchell too, but they are costly programs designed to be used in a full service shop such as ours, would probably tend to be a bit expensive in a car audio shop, plus its loaded with other info that would be totally worthless in a car audio shop
