hello, i live in the u.p. of Michigan. right now it is pretty cold, usually around the teens...and even below 0 at some points of the day. i was wondering if the cold would crack my subs, or do any damage to my amp. any info would be helpful, thnx.

You can crack your subs if they are poly cones, or crack your surrounds if they freeze.  Just let your equipment warm up, as you do your car and you should be fine.  The biggest problem is condensation formming inside the electronics as they cycle between hot and cold.  As your car warms up, bring up the volume.  If you see your breath, go easy on your system.

First let you car warm up

I let mine play at low volume for like 10min before i turn it up to my normal level. which is 20 on cd's and 25-7 onthe radio.  30 is half way.
