OMG..i have just installed a simple 3 wire sony cd changer to my friends car..we took it out of her van and put it in her car....had three wires red, black, and yellow.  the red and yellow had an inline fuse..so definatly 12vol sources..so i got the 91 Chyrsler LeBaron wiring diagram (courtesy of this site posted_image) and went to work..found that the contstant + had a constant on the harness, and the switched only had + when the car was on...so i was set!  I spliced into the two wires, grounded the black and bingo! i was done. (of course unpluged the antenna and put in its place the modulator)

well, I turned on the car and heard the changer start its motor..good sign! but i didnt see anything out of the display. (the remote is Sony model RM-X64) so i jiggled the wire near the plug and i started to see the display turn on.  i figured, 'its a couple years old, have to jiggle the wire just right to make it stay on..) so i was happy and started tucking some of the wires away..turned the car on and no display..jiggled the wire and jack...nothing. I am f*ing lost.  I bet I wired it right (no manual) cause the cd changer unit has power only when car is on.. and i can take out the cartridge and stuff, but i dont have any thing coming from the remote.  Do you agree with me that its the remote wire? If so, how the hell do I find a remote for this thing and how much is it gonna cost me? (I stated the model of the remote above)   sorry about the large post ..i alway include extra when i write just to make sure i leave nothing out. posted_image

thanks for any help!

ummm.......

check the connection, might be corroded or something.....

otherwise, the cable might have a kinked and/or broken wire........

go to you lucky sony dealer, and ask them.....they should provide an answer..if not........ok Guys and Gals, keep your eyes open in the install bays for left over parts!!!

that's all I can think of...
