Anybody got a changer or know where I can get one wholesale for a 03 or 04 Beetle .. its not one that goes in trunk.  This one stands verticle and goes in center console.   Best price I have gotten is 500 for a new one from VW dealership.

SoundGate makes interfaces which will allow you to install an aftermarket changer and control it directly from the factory radio just like a factory changer. I have one in my Audi with an Alpine changer. I don't think the aftermarket changers will fit in the factory location on the Beetle, but you can install it in the trunk. You will have to run the cabling back though.
