i think the RCA out on my headunit have taken a crap but i want to make sure.  how would i test these using a multimeter?  i was assuming i could just test the voltage output of the rca with the pos side going to the pos wire and neg to neg wire.  i tried that and got a big 0.  just wanted to make sure i got it right.  if i did and they are blown is it possible to fix it or am i SOL?

I dont know anything about testing your rca outs on your head-unit but if they are blown you could buy a speaker level to line-level adator that plugs into either the front two channels or the back two channels on your wiring harness. The adator's preamp outputs usually put out about 4 volts which should be plenty. I had one and it sounded great, but then i bought an alpine head unit with pream-outs so i dont use anymore.
