audiobahn subs are absolute garbage. the amp is a good choice and so is the door speakers. audiobahn is all looks, the quality is non exsistent!!!

i picked the audiobahn subs because they are 400 watts rms which is perfect for the amp i picked. and also because the mounting depth is only 5 inches. keep in mind im working in a regular cap truck. so space is an issue. so if i knew how deep the jl's were that would help alot. and do you have any experience with audiobahn or are you just saying this about them. has anyone heard audiobahn? how do they rate?

another thing about the audiobahn subs is that they run 55 dollars. thats pretty cheap if you ask me for the power they say they put out.

Yeah, I'd have to agree with Jimmy. Cheap subs usually have cheap sound. Do you have a Frye's Electronics nearby- I think I've seen some Audiobahn gear there before. If so, give them a listen. They won't tell you what they'll sound like in your car, but you can get an idea whether or not it'll be worth it to you or not. In the end, it's your decision, so if you're happy, that's all that matters.

As a dealer of these subs, they actually can sound pretty darn good, just make sure to match the subs to the proper box, use the right amp set up properly and do not abuse them and they will do a good job for you. Would they be my first choice, probably not, but it does not mean that they are no good.

If your looking for something cheap that dosnt suk look at JL's W0 line of subwoofers.

also look at the alpine type-s line of subs, they are not deep at all, and slam pretty darn hard. you have a choice of single 4 ohm, , or dual 4 ohm. They are 200 watts rms, and 600watts peak. With that amp they will pound to hell. I just did an install friday with 2 Type-S 12's in a 89 ford f-150, running 400w rms, they were sick. Also look at the rockford subs, im not shure if eclipse has a good sub with a shallow mounting depth, but if theyt do, theres a choice too.

thanks alot guys, i dont mean to affend anyone, i dont know anyone. so i just like to make sure that everyone has experience to back themselves up. as long as it sounds good to the level i want ill be happy. and i would like them to be as shallow as possible. it is in a truck. i will check around for the subs, if you guys find anything around 5 inches deep let me know. thanks so far.
