Which model subs? Some of Audiobahns subs had problems with them bottoming out.

I thought that amp is only stable to 2 ohm

Supa lao it is only 2 ohm stable, however it is mostlikely not the cause of his problem. But what type and size enclosure do you have the subs in? Also what are your x-overs set at?

The AW1208Q's And 06's were notorious for bottoming out. They corrected the problem the next year with the AW12 (08, 06) T models. If you purchased from an authorized dealer Audiobahn should be able to help you out.

And just as an FYI, a speaker "bottoming out" or reaching the maximum of its linear excursion capability is most often caused by over-powering, by down- or up-mounting a speaker not designed for it, or by inadequate enclosure damping.

When a speaker reaches it's max excursion and bottoms out is when it is most likely to fry a voice coil.
