Before I tear into my '98 Bonneville to replace the stock stereo, I thought that I would "ask the experts". What do I need to do to remove the dash panel and get the stocker out? This stock Am/Fm/Cassette/Eq is the WORST radio that I have ever owned, I can't wait to get this thing out!!!
Thanks,

It's an entire piece that is held in with clips. Make sure that the steering wheel is tilted all the way down before pulling it apart. Then when you pull the it be careful not to scratch it with the tilt bar(I did a little when I pulled mine) After you pull it, it must be pulled over the steering colum. Then you just have to take out the radio and put in your kit.

SP, so you are saying that there is no left and right piece, it comes out as one piece from both sides and center over the column? It looks like there is a joint on the right side but I'm thinking that you know better. I appreciate the help!!!!

I will double check mine but I think it was one piece. Give me a few minutes I'll go out and double check for you!

Hey Hotrod,
Yeah I just checked and it is just one piece, it does look like there's two pieces but there is not. Be very careful when taking it out though remember you can easily scratch the left part of it with the tilt lever. Good luck.
