im running 2 amps a mono amp for 2 subs and a 4channel for the interior speakers. now what is the best way to hook this up for iptimum sound. i can run into the mono amp from the alpine cva 1003 and come out of the amp into the 4 channel but then how do i hook up the other 2 channels on the 4CH amp. i know it seem confusing but im not sure if i just use "y" adapters to do it or get some kind of output sp;litter or something
please let me know thanks

I'm not usre I understand your setup, but to answer your question in general, yes, you can use a Y-cable and split a single RCA output to send to two amps.

If your reciever only has one set of preamp outputs then I would definitely consider getting a crossover. A good one will let you route one or two pairs of rca preamp inputs into it and then have 1 output of for the front speaker ,one for the back speakers ,and one for your sub amp. It should also have crossovers for each channel (hints the name) and level controls. This will give you far better control over your system. If you have enough money I would go with a zapco one otherwise just go with something from kicker probly. heres a link to a zapco one with a built in eq also. you might not need all the features of it but the zapco has it all.

Missed your post, must have been put up as I was typing. This is a case where I would be looking into a eq / line driver or outboard crossover / line driver, both with remote sub level control. The line driver will make the amps job easier to produce good clean power, the remote sub level speaks for itself, the eq is also going to be not just a tweak piece but also a master volume control. Have a look at www.audiocontrol.com for some really good ideas on expanding your system using dedicated to the task processors.

The zapco one i mentioned on the other page is one that you can install in your dash so you can easily tweak it. I think and It is a very good quality crossover(it shouldnt degrade your signal).

The audiocrontrol ones look great. I would probobly only go with the 3XS because it has a sub output (which you need).
