Check eBay, seen SPL meters there for like $70 or so which is fairly cheap for an SPL meter and I think they went up to like 180 dB's

Do install shops usually have SPL meters? I am no SPL competitor but since applying dynamat xtreme to just about every square inch of interior sheet metal and multi layers in trunk, my system will definitely blow your eardrums. I am just curious to find out what the SPL is. ------------- BOOM, BOOM, BOOM BOOM....

Well in my "small" town (100,000 people) there are install shops, and only one has a meter... it just so happens that the guys at that shop have to be the biggest jerks in town... none of the other shops have respect for them or their work. and I just dont feel like getting into an argument with these guys... I do my own install but i buy from another shop, i dont wanna hear them yack about how my stuff is crap and there panasonic HU crap is better than my unit. I know my install is nice, but i dont need to hear some crackheads blabbing about theirs. I would really like to enter a comp, but there havent been very many in my area in recent time. Im still tuning, and makin it better, and thats why i needed a Meter...thanks a lot
