Ive got a Pioneer deh-p360  50x4 with (all brand new)2 kicker k35 (3.5"s's) and 2 kicker k410 (4x10's). the 3.5s rms is 30 watts, the 4x10s is 60 watts.

I will be running my 12" fosgate he2 and punch401s amp off the SW(sub) RCA channles, should i run another amp (Rampage 240 watt 4 channel) from the front and rear RCA channels on  my HU to my Kicker coaxials? would it improve the clarity of their sound at high volumes or would it be nearly pointless due to my mosfet 50x4 in the HU?

Also, I can't seem to find a volume control for the subwoofer on my HU, does anyone know if it has one? And one more... im havin trouble finding a control to lower my coaxial bass without lower my sub bass, maybe just the HU,but the 4x10s are distorting it, would an in line bass filter help that and what freq.?

Thanks for the help.

that pioneer radio has a volume adjustment for the sub i think it is there by hitting audio a few times it says sw (subwoofer) the up and down keys adjust volume!
That radio will sound great without an amp but be assured by adding a decent size amp (50 by 4) to the coaxes you will expect cleaner sound at all volume levels as well as it will be a bit louder with more clarity then by using head unit alone! good luck but either way they should sound good. That radio has a bilt in crossove rtaht will reduce bass in the speakers while cleaning up the sound set it to 80 or 125 hz and that should do it.

I wouldn't worry about getting an amp for the speakers, you won't notice a significant difference with them that small and with that low a power rating.  The only real benefit if you're sticking with those size speakers would be crossover controls on the amp.  I'd probably just throw some bass blocker caps inline.  A 199uf will work (cutoff will be around 200 Hz).  You can pick some up at your local sound shop.  Make sure they're for this purpose, they must be non-polarized.  I'd consider building some door pods or kick panel enclosures for up front.  That way you can throw some 6.5s in there.  For the back, you can always convert to 6x9's.

I wouldn't be able to tell you about the sub controls.  If you don't have an owner's manual to browse through, you can always download one off the Pioneer website: www.pioneerelectronics.com.  Turning down the bass at the deck will affect the subs as well as the speakers.  4x10's will always distort like that- when they were first invented, stereos were usually no more than a few watts total at best, and they could handle this just fine.  In those days, there wasn't a need for something else, so they're just weak by design.

I have factory 4 X 10s in the back of my suburban and they rattle really bad if you dont turn the bass down also. Look at some bass blockers like these for the 4 X 10s: https://www.crutchfield.com/cgi-bin/S-e4sCeuPPe1c/ProdView.asp?s=0&c=11&g=761&I=127BB300A2&o=m&a=0&cc=01&avf=N

And the x over controls the sound even when using the radio for power u dont need bass blockers you already have a better one built in the radio!!!! YOu have a built in electronic crosover this will eliminate the sh*tty bass sound from the speakers !! Just set it and you will be happy this is also in the audio menu!!!

Probobly the only speakers that the pioneer will play crispe and clear on is the kind of setup you have because of your small speakers. If you were running a pair of 6.5 coaxials and 6 X 9s on the rear deck I dont think it would sound crispe and clear anymore (I dont think any cd player's internal amp could though).

Contact the place you purchased from, or download a manual from www.pioneerelectronics.com.  This way you'll know for sure.

Why cant you just look at the manual that was either included with your cd player or one on www.pioneerelectronics.com for. Stop asking how to do something that you should be able to find out easily by yourself.
