Im trying to hook up my amp (Jensen 200 watt [150 RMS] amplifier) and sub (Audiobahn 10" Flame AW1006Q Subwoofer) in my room. I have a rough plan to hook it all up, including a car battery, a 12volt deep cycle charger, and a wiring kit for 200 watt amp. I have an audio jack (headphone size) to RCA hooked from my computer to my amp. Everything seems like it would logically work perfect except that I dont know what to do about the remote turn on lead in. I know it is 12volt+ but I do know if it would be a safe idea to just hook it right to the battery since I dont have a head unit in the set up. If anyone has any constructive ideas or knows for sure whether or not it will work it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

you shouldnt need the car battery, just run the amp straight to the charger. run the remote lead to the charger and then when you turn on the charger to use the sub setup your amp will automatically turn on with the charger

I have a sealed gel cell battery so there isnt any gas problems, but it sounds better to use the charger just didnt know if that would work. Thanks for the input so far.
