What is a good way to wire the power and ground to your amp when using a 4 gauge wire. The wire is a lil to fat for the terminal so its not securly in there.the screw just spreads it out kinda thanks

well maybe u can use a distro block in the back and size the wire to 8 guage from the block to the amps and maybe u can find fork terminals that fit that amp. it all depends on the amp but if you have set screws on the amp i dought you will fit 4 guage forks terminals in there so go to 8 guage from the block that should fit nice!!

I just got a 4 guage clamp and im going to grind it down to fit. it should work good enough.

you can pick up a distro block that is 1 4awg in and 2 8awg out for like $8 then use a 2 foot piece of 8 awg with a crimp on end and attach it to the amp for a secure fit..........it will be worth the effort...just my 2 cents

If your terminals only fit 8 gauge thats probably all it needs

usually when you have those flat connections on the amp the largest spade head connection you can fit is a guide line of what type of wiring kit you actually need. if the amp is say "1000wrms" and you can only fit an 8 ga. connector to the terminal, its kind of a dead give away that the true out put of the amp is not at 1000wrms.

you shouldn't need to modify the spade terminal to fit, you can usually buy two different sizes for the 4 ga. wire, the skinnier one harder to find and usually most expensive
