I have an 89 BMW 735i and I just got two 12" 1000w each performance technique 5712 DX with 1200w ICBM 779 amp but ive heard pts isnt a good brand for subs. What are good subs? I dont know much about systems but I paid 500 for it installed. Did i get ripped off? and also what r good speakers for inside the car and what kind of amp should i get for them. i know the big question is how much am i willing to spend but if someone can help me in giving me examples of price ranges from the most expensive to the mid range. i want to to know what would be good subs with amp and speakers with amp and what is mid bass.

for one, you just cahnge the head unit, thats pioneers lowest end deck, if you just changed up to like a pioneer deh-p440 or 400 or somehting like that, you would notice a huge change in your sound of your stock speakers, and even in your subs, i just purchased the alkpine pxa-h700 sound processor, and i couldn;t believe the difference it made on my subs, amazing, it was like adding another 1000 watt rms amp!

those performace teknique are sleepers though. i heard 4 of the aluminum dvc 12's and they hit pretty much every freq. you could throw at them.

i had run two of the aluminum dvc 12's off the performance ibcm774 anp in a 89 chevy beretta and it sounded awesome considering i only paid 250 for all 3 pieces......
