hey, ive been runnin  a sh*tty amp, a rampage 240 watt 4 channel to a pulse 10"...not for a system but for sound untill i get my 401s and he2 12 in there.. anyways, when the rampage was hooked up, everyonce and a while the sub would just stop... so i checked, and the amp had power. The sub wasnt the problem because i took it out of its box and checked it and its wiring etc., so i went inside for a bit, came back out, and it played fine and played fine all day today. So then tonight i go out to hook the 401s up to the pulse 10.. and it plays for 5 -10 min then just stops. Has power, my rca's are plugged in securely,my speaker wires are in securely, what could this be??

the amp may be going into protection mode due to overheating or lack of power or something like that

Check your remote wire.  I once crushed one when I put the seat back in and it did the same thing.  And as always, check your ground.

Either what germ said above or your voice coil on the sub might be gone.
