You have either grounded out the remote on wire / power antenna wire or have shorted it out so bad that it has taken out a diode or resistor in the cd player that powers the circuit. Very, very few cdplayers have a fused remote on line but just in case, check to see if it does. Have you disconnected the remote on wire from the amp yet? DO this and jump a wire from the + terminal on the amp to the remote on on the amp, does it fire up? If the answer is yes, dig out the remote on cable from front to back, check it for cuts / nicks etc. Do you have a meter to check the voltage on the remote on line? If so check it behind the deck, if no power is found on that line, it is time to send the deck for service or temporarily the remote on line can be hooked to the ignition line (red wire) on the headunit.

what should i ask him to do or check? i'm not sure wut to tell him to make sure he fix's it. lolz i wanna make sure i get wut i paid for lolz
