Im going to be making a box that has a 1 1/2 inch strip of plexiglass about 3 feet long going down the center, it will be a curve outward so the plexiglass will need to be bent. How is this done? Is it expensive and where is it done? The plexiglass can be as thin as needed because it will not be for strength just for cosmetics (connecting 2 boxes). It will also be frosted with blue neons behind it. How should i get it frosted also?
thanks

if you use like 1/8" plexi or lexan you can just bend it by hand and use hot glue or screws to hold it in place, you can buy it at home depot or lowes in most cases. for what your trying to do it should be under $10(dont quote me)

use lexan. plex does not bend the way lexan can. we bend it in all kinds of shapes building race car bodys make sure it's thick enough to avoid flexing.

for frosting use some adhesive covering. the sort stickers and signwriting are made from. doubt it would cost much.

Sounds good thanks guys, with the flexing it wont be a problem because there will be no pressure behind it its only for looks. Where can i find that adhesive stuff?

A heat gun can speed up the bending procedure and the adhesive stuff can be found at any place that does signs or stickers.
