Getting a new head unit very soon and have decided on the 8443. All I hear about this brand is good sq over most other brands. Also considering an Alpine in the same price range. I'm looking for SQ not anything to flashy. The graphics on the head unit I'm replacing are not important and boring. I think its just a marketing scam for women. Does anyone know what would be a good price on the 8443 through an authorized dealer? Thanks

You have a pm. It is best that authorized dealers keep advertising off of open forums, as I am in Canada I would not be the best bet for you for warranty reasons. Some other authorized dealers will respond I would imagine.

The local shop here in Alabama is outrageous for Eclipse brand HU. I think I will wait till the new line comes out.

Rob, do you know when or about when these new HU's will be available?

My Canadian dealer show is March 8th, I'll find out then. I do know that the distributor has little stock of the current models left, so I would imagine that they are ready to hit the shelves very soon.

I got my 8053 from Magnolia Hi-Fi(for $450) through price-matching car toys. There online prices seem to differ than the in-store prices so......

Man I hate those CarToys guys, I'd swear that they don't want you to buy anything, they just want you to come in and be told what you like, because apparently I didn't know.
