Ok , need info: im trying to hook up this (pioneer premier deh-p850mp) HU to my GTI 2002, i bought connector and stuff. I hoocked the Power/Ground/Swiched Power/Remote , but there is another wire ( ORANGE / white ) that sais TO LIGHTNING SWICH TERMINAL, so here is my question , where the **** do i plug this wire into ? Another Q: is it OK to run remote wire to cap, and from cap to the amp? or do i need two seperate wires ? Thanks in advance guys Rj

why do you want to run the remote wire to the cap? just run the wire from the back of the HU to the amp on the same side as the power cable wit the RCAs on the other side of the car so you dont have any interference thru the speakers

ignore the ORANGE / white wire. Its not important and not used in your current application.

Thanks , but i think it too late to move RCA cables as i spent like 6 hours wireing my car , and i didnt think about it , so i guess i leave as it is on same side as power wires goes, as for remote wire , i have cap that has digital screen , and in manual sais that i have to connect remote wire to it , so thats why im asking .

you should be able to run from the deck to the cap to the amp no problem (with the remote wire). But it is a bad idea to have the RCAs on the same side as power. The orange and white wire is usually connected to your headlight switch so that when your headlights are on your deck will dim it's display so it isn't blinding ly bright. unless it's right in your field of vision most people don't have a problem with the brightness.

You can just run from cap to amp. There will be no problem with that.

You dont need to move them as long as you don't have noise problems. I have mine running next to my power wire in my suburban and there are no noise problems. I'm not saying its a bad idea, just that you don't have to re-run everything right away even if your system dosn't have noise in it after you have tried out your amp. I do advise to run them apart from each other if you havn't done the install though of coures because nobobdy likes to run rca cables twice.
